I urge all our people to give public and private expression to the love and gratitude which they bear for their fathers.

Through public spirited citizens such as yourself we will find the new and creative solutions and that will move this country closer to the goal of a better life for all our people.

We owe it the goodness of our hearts and the labors of our hands.

They are calling human beings together in a hundred ways to cope with the problems of the city and the village life.

The shade of a tree and the beauty of its branches must be always within the reach of our people, young and old, wherever they live.

I want to thank you so very much for coming out here in Reno today and extending the warm hand of welcome to your friend and your neighbor who has come to see you at this time of the year.

Hence from Plymouth Rock until this day, Americans have been careful about the welfare of their fellow man.

If there is any theme which I think this conference best expresses, it is the common dependence we have one upon another.
