The constructive work of more than 20,000 people over 5 long years--the collaboration of the peoples with whom they have lived--is a real testament to the trust upon which the Peace Corps was founded.

We feel a debt of gratitude and we want to, in part, repay it by working with our other neighbors.

Working together with the people of Nevada, that great democratic State leading the way, we will continue it.

In the years to come, by working together, group with group, section with section, we will defeat the forces of division and we will keep our country moving ahead.

That is why I welcome your support now--so that we can do together the work that still needs to be done in and for rural America.

Our success is not the success of Government alone, or labor alone, or business alone.

If there is any theme which I think this conference best expresses, it is the common dependence we have one upon another.

This is not an occasion for feeling pleased with ourselves, but, rather, it is an occasion for asking for help to continue our work and to do more.

We are very fortunate to have Congressman John Moss working with Governor Collins on this project.

I believe if we get such a thing established, I would like to do it with the greatest possible cooperation of everybody that has an interest in the Government.

I have come here, in this beautiful country of yours, to meet with my colleagues from other countries to see whether it is not possible to find some road that will lead all mankind into a more tranquil, better, fuller way of life.

This clinical research center will advance the work that is being done by all of us to achieve better health.

This entire program has been developed and set in motion by voluntary teamwork.

It is essential that from the inception of any project there be complete exchange of information, mutual consultation, and mutual confidence.

It demands cooperation.

Such a basis of cooperation is assured.
