I was extremely proud to see it land on the President's desk.

Believe me, in the letter, we were not asking for names. We are asking for numbers.

Ensuring effective stewardship of taxpayer dollars is essential for the delivery of care and services to our veterans, and wasting of those dollars is unacceptable.

We travel for general site visits. We also hold field hearings to get a true idea of what is happening on the ground.

We owe it to our veterans and taxpayers to ensure VA is making marked progress regarding veterans' access to healthcare.

We routinely observe personnel committed to providing the highest quality care, benefits, and services to veterans and their families, despite obstacles.

We will--it is the same process by which we have done before, and, you know, we have got to make sure, when we have our hearings, they are secure.

let me first thank my colleague from Texas. We disagree from time to time, but when we agree, I feel good about it. And today, we do agree, certainly, on the Ukrainian war and the role and responsibility of the United States.

suicide rates for our veterans are at a historic high. In fact, veterans are 1.5 times more likely to die by suicide than non-veterans.

I really want to put on record how incredibly important it is...that we continue to prioritize housing as we see the housing crisis across this country.

I look forward to helping to ensure our veterans have access to the highest quality and affordable healthcare.

I do think that there can be new rules and regulations. And I think while we were at DOT, we promulgated some very strong rules and regulations regarding rail safety.

And that's frankly, why I -- when somebody asked me about Trump going to, you know, going there for a visit, it's a complete joke. They were the -- had the, you know, the worst safety record of any administration in the history of DOT.

I think Joe Biden needs to do a little better job of that. I do think his trip was great, and that sends a strong message.

The Republicans, if they are given the reason and they are showed the reason for this, they would be supportive. But there is no leadership in the Republican Party.
