It’s not even new that in private conversations a huge number of my Republican colleagues have contempt for the president.

I don’t think they’re gonna do anything about it.

We should not hold out hope for a sudden outbreak of courage and integrity among elected Republicans in Washington.

They don’t have them yet. The orders were placed, but they couldn’t [process] the orders when the government was shut down.

What appears to have happened is that there now has been ... somewhat of an increase of ICE activities before the additional training and body-worn cameras were deployed.

But to be fair to the Department of Homeland Security, they couldn’t enter into contracts when the government was shut down by the Democrats.

It’s been this administration’s refusal to quickly put in place basic accountability measures like requiring body cameras.

The idea that Democrats are to blame for the Trump administration’s failure to deploy body cameras to the field and to protect people from out-of-control agents that they have failed to properly train is completely absurd.

It may have ended my political career.

Let’s be honest, I didn’t go to Washington to take orders from anybody, which is why you do see me scuffle from time to time, which is why I do call out Democrats and Republicans alike.
