Well, I’m just really proud of my friend Dan Traynor. I’ve known him for over 30 years.

North Dakota landowners and producers are the best stewards of their land.

They should not have to ask permission to do the right thing.

At the same time, we need responsible forest management, including hazardous fuels reduction, timber harvesting, grazing and other forest restoration practices that help reduce the severity and frequency of catastrophic wildfires.

This rule needs to respect private property rights.

I encourage North Dakotans and landowners especially to make their voices heard throughout the public comment period.

With more than 3,640 wildfires in Canada this year alone, it’s clear that more action needs to be taken to prevent and stop these fires.

As I always say, public comment is open for a reason: for the public to comment.

President Trump has made clear that America must lead the world in artificial intelligence, scientific innovation and energy production.
