This is a sinister figure, not a person that should be normalized in a game show-type television show.

In political terms, his absence from the Senate erases the Democrats` razor thin majority and, of course, it`s happening just as President Biden prepares to nominate and try to confirm a new justice to the Supreme Court.

Mitch McConnell knows what he did was wrong. But they hope to benefit from the things that he did.

This is all part of the greater effort to keep Trump in power against the will of the American people.

But even worse is the cavalier way that the state of Texas has treated the people they have forced to implement their failed mission.

It is bad enough that Operation Lone Star has led to inhumane treatment for immigrants and that the state has spent a whopping $3 billion on immigration enforcement in 2021.

It hasn't been a good week for GOP governors cosplaying as autocratic leaders.

And then there's Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who has spectacularly bungled his Trumpy fever dream of a performance art piece at the Mexican border.

There's Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, who created a Kremlin-style tip line for parents to report anything divisive taught in schools.

If Trumpelstiltskin has his way, this guy here, right here, will be in charge of certifying the next presidential election in Georgia.

So, we see this coming together to promote the worst instincts in society in order to pander to voters and we should know that that`s wrong and we have to do better than this.

Pennsylvania’s Republican Senator Pat Toomey voted against the bill, calling it too expensive and excessive.

President Biden toured the site today while, coincidentally, in the state to talk infrastructure.

There`s no hiding from this at this point. And these are -- some of these are elected officials. They`re known entities. They`re going to have to answer for what they did.

I want to just commend him for really putting it all on the line for democracy.

Why? Because infrastructure spending isn’t just politically popular. It’s critically necessary.

Rick Scott voted against that bill, and he’s far from the only one to pull this tomfoolery.

I think Joe Biden is highly likely to choose a very liberal person, but that doesn't mean we can't be happy about it.

I think the Republicans are going to focus on this person's record and experience and stated views, I think there's little doubt that the people Joe Biden is looking at are all highly qualified, highly experienced, and highly liberal.

Joe Biden has an atrocious record and I think our hearts ought to be full, that an African American female can finally get past Joe Biden's record.

So, stand down on the right if you guys are going to talk about people who are being -- people who are qualified for jobs, because you all voted for Donald Trump.

They actually created these fake documents purporting to be the real certifications of them as electors.

Lies like that are broadcast to millions of people every night.
