Today, I want to reestablish this Department's commitment to safeguarding every American's First Amendment rights, particularly the right to free speech and the right to free religious exercise. USDA is committed to protecting both.

It's been a very important, effective program. As far as I'm concerned we have no proposed changes. You don't try to fix things that aren't broken.

I believe these proposed changes support our mutual goal of improving the lives of those participating in SNAP.
