We're going to do something novel called enforce the law.

Well, first -- well, first of all, don't put words in my mouth, because, you know, again, I read the debates. Let's understand very clearly, very clearly, what the Constitution says, very clearly.

To reward law breakers is how you get more lawbreakers.

When you reward lawbreakers, you get more lawbreakers. When you ignore the law, you get more lawbreaking.

It's time to enforce the laws. I know it's a novel idea in Washington, D.C. Some of us know it works.

In Arizona, illegal alien population is down over twice what it is on the national average, and that's because here in Arizona, we're enforcing the law.

The 14th Amendment was written in 1866, ratified in 1868, belonged to one group of people only, African-Americans, to give them their rightful place at the table that they were being denied after that war.

It needs to be fixed. It's the greatest inducement. It is a crime to enter this country illegally. It's a crime to remain in this country.

Apparently, that's collateral damage to the open-border anarchists that don't want our laws enforced.

You know, immigration -- you know, illegal is not a race. It's a crime.

The nice thing is, you need to understand, the important part of this bill did go into effect. As of today, it is illegal in the state of Arizona to have a sanctuary policy.

It prohibits racial profiling in this bill, which, by the way, the federal law doesn't.
