How is it you need to be 21 to buy a pistol, but you can buy an AK47 at 18? Even Republicans constituents have come to me and said, that makes no sense. We need red flag laws, we need waiting periods.

It’s preposterous. It’s preposterous. Back when you go out to buy a 22 rifle to kill your squirrels in your backyard, technologies changed, the firepower has changed.

There’s some real problems that we need to change in Texas. I’m not here to take anybody’s guns away. I just want some common sense gun solutions.

Militarized weapons have no place in our schools or anywhere in our community.

We need a special session. We need a full investigation that gives us clear transparency as to what went on here and where the failures were, so that this never happens again.

This governor lives in some alternative world. And that`s the reality.
