The governor has known that for seven years, and he’s been asked for money to fix those radio systems for seven counties. And he has refused.
This is the kind of stuff that happens in Venezuela, happens in Russia. And unfortunately, it happens here in Texas.
America needs to see this so that they can understand the extreme power of this ammunition and this weaponry, and so they can understand that an 18 year old with no training, should never have access to this type of weapon of war.
In 2022, not one single radio system worked inside that brick building. We are now finding out over the last seven years, that Greg Abbott was given notice of these failed systems, and did nothing about it, did nothing to fix it.
We need to look at the people that are doing the covering up. And that is the Department of Public Safety, this district attorney's office, also state employees -- there was 12 officers in that hallway.
What I`m tired of is different agencies pointing the finger at one another. I think that we all know in the United States that there was failure at every law enforcement level here. At some point we need to get to the sheer bottom of it…
It would be absolutely unconscionable to use the dead suspect loophole to thwart the release of information that is so badly needed and deserved right now.
I think it`s very despicable that we are living in a moment now where our head law enforcement agency is calling a sitting senator a liar.
As long as Greg Abbott and his Republican D.A. are seeking to keep this secret from us, we will never know the truth and it`s a shame, it`s a shame that we are dealing with that in 2022, in the state of Texas.
