I can’t control what other people are going to do. I can only tell you that if I’m governor, I’m going to be working with everybody to do the stuff that the vast majority of people in this state want to do.

I think that when different people who think differently from each other work together, we actually get to better answers.

Jesus is for the little guy, and the Democratic Party, at its best, is for the little guy.

I am really hopeful.

Our political system is broken, and it’s broken mostly because it’s run by two private clubs that make voters feel trapped into making a binary choice.

This is personal to me – I’m raising my kids here, and I want them to have more opportunities than I had growing up, not less.

I want to change that.

That can make it harder for folks in rural areas who need to be in a nursing home to have access to one in their community or close to their family.

More people can get more inspections done. Pretty simple.

Because there’s more people doing it, because they’ve made that investment, that means that we are increasing the number of inspections that are getting done, and we’re increasing how frequently they’re getting done.

I believe it demonstrates what happens when government agencies are held accountable and have proper oversight — always good to have a little bit of encouragement to make sure that improvements are getting made.

I’m going to be working with the same Legislature that just voted to pass that, I can’t imagine them putting a bill on my desk that would reverse it.
