I’m running to be a governor for all Iowans — Democrats, Republicans, and independents alike — because we get better results when we work together rather than continuing down the same path that ten years of one-party control has put us on.

I would also like to cap insulin costs for Iowans and expand laws that protect against surprise medical bills.
Nonprofit-based managed care would be a better solution to provide Iowans with healthcare coverage.
To me, the bottom line is that I think we need to have state government be refocused on the issues that are impacting 100% of Iowans: costs, corruption, cancer – and housing is a huge piece of the affordability question for most Iowans.
We have people who want to be in Iowa, and they’re struggling to pay the bills, and one of the biggest issues that they’re oftentimes facing is housing.
Let’s remake this state and turn it back into an Iowa that is not about being redder or bluer, but one about being better and truer.
Politics is supposed to be about making state government work for ordinary people — not a small number of people with too much power for too long.
That’s what I want us to get back to in the Capitol building. Common sense, listening to each other, being willing to recognize when even the person that’s mostly wrong actually has a point to make.
