On the recordOctober 1, 1998
It is a shame, because the part of health care that seniors value the most is their ability to get their medications that keep them alive in many instances, that really prolong the kind of health that they now have become accustomed to because of the advances in medicine. It is to the pharmaceutical companies, for the research they have done, that we owe the advances in medicine for many of our seniors, so that they can keep their blood pressure under control and their cholesterol level down, and their arthritis aches and pains are not incapacitating our seniors as they once were. What a shame that right now, in this day and age, when we have the resources to give them, that they are being asked to bear the burden of discounted prices.
