Unfortunately, the draft language as currently written is inadequate in providing the much-needed updates to pipeline safety legislation.

It is critical that we take the steps and the lessons from these incidents and use them to strengthen our pipeline safety infrastructure.

This would undermine the fundamental principles of the program and I cannot express enough how damaging that would be to patients and my constituents.
