I said in the past, I recommended him for jobs, just like I have recommended a lot of people. But we absolutely did nothing except for comply exactly with what the ethics laws and the ethics rules of the Senate state.

Title II (of S. 2612) moves the wilderness debate forward in Clark County, Nevada by designating lands as wilderness and releasing other lands from wilderness study area.

I thought Bob did a great job on bringing people together.

Senator Reid and Ensign have worked diligently with their local constituencies to see consensus on these designations and release.

Bob handled a lot of those kinds of different parties involved who have very different ideas of what should happen with public lands.

Bob Abbey played a very significant role in my State.

I believe that this will hurt many business-friendly States like my home State of Nevada.
