my inescapable conclusion, unless newly confirmed Administrator Leavitt can change it, is that the Bush administration does not care about the burdens that polluters lay upon the public. Perhaps the administration does not care about the deathly ill senior citizens suffering from pollution-induced heart or lung disease, or the parents who are struggling to help their learning disabled or physically handicapped child cope with everyday life, or the 150 million Americans who are breathing unhealthy air. Whatever their reasons, this administration is making it harder to breathe, to see, and to trust.
