This is a most serious problem, as far as I am concerned. Approximately 20,000 lives are prematurely ended each year because of old dirty powerplants not required to apply best available control technologies.
Administrator Leavitt, can you describe what you see as the major failure of EPA in dealing with these lead contamination in the District of Columbia metropolitan area?
I am also interested in exploring how EDA's programs meet the needs of rural States, like Vermont.
