I look forward to working with members of this Committee and other members of Congress to identify climate adaptation strategies that incorporate traditional ecological knowledge and respect tribal sovereignty and self-determination.

If a Tribal Nation says we have a sacred site, this is where we have an identity, the United States must honor that.

Adaptation funding is simply not enough. And we need additional resources to begin to not only adapt with new and emerging science...

We can't take selective science to advance political objectives that benefit multinational corporations.
