The issue of consultation for Tribal Nations, it is one that ensures that we have political equality with another sovereign, with our trustee, the United States.

We will be seeking to increase prevention efforts, increase treatment and then also provide enhanced enforcement.

I look forward to working with members of this Committee and other members of Congress to identify climate adaptation strategies that incorporate traditional ecological knowledge and respect tribal sovereignty and self-determination.
