Eric Shinseki: “To care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and his orphan.”

No one who has served this Nation should ever find themselves living without care and without hope.

I ask the Committee, and the rest of Congress, to help us by resolving this fiscal impasse now.

The issue here is no one should have to wait for mental health care.

When Secretary Shinseki came in, one of the first things he directed as the Secretary of Veterans Affairs is directing us to build a full inpatient medical facility.
