If we did not have the Merchant Marine assets to assist the great halls on these campaigns, the military naval campaigns, our country would not have been able to supply our troops.

The national security provided by the Merchant Marine fleet of this country is part of the way that we are able to be effective overseas and protect this country.

The benefits of updating and expanding our transportation infrastructure can produce thunderous ripple effects, creating new developments, generating increased investments, and driving new economic opportunities.
