Everything needs to be on the table to protect Canadian sovereignty and economic security

The prime minister has my full support for a strong response - tariff for tariff, dollar for dollar.
If we get a fair deal — that will protect our steel sector, our auto sector, our forestry sector, agriculture sector, manufacturing sector — then we’d be more than happy to bring booze back on the shelves.
I do not, I’m going to emphasize, use alcohol as a bargaining chip during the negotiations.
While we may not be able to control President Trump we can and are controlling the decisions we make here in Ontario.
The worst thing we could ever do (is) let President Trump control our data. That guy would cut us off in about three seconds and so we need to make sure we have data sovereignty in our own hands.
Ontario has a choice: we can build the economy of the future and ensure Canadians’ data remains in Canada or we can get left behind and risk Canadians’ data being sent to the U.S. and into the hands of President Trump.
This is why I have been pushing so hard for a united Team Canada response to this attack on Canadian workers, on Canadian sovereignty, Canadian communities. We need to stick together.
Talk to the party. I don’t approve of it … That was $3,000 of the party’s money. But thank you for the question.
We want to have sovereign data. We don’t want to rely on President Trump getting his paws all over it.
