Donald Yamamoto: “We have to hold those people accountable.”

The United States continues to play a very significant role to make a difference in the lives of the people in the DRC and wherever there is suffering and tragedy.

Ambassador Haley's October visit to the DRC sent a very clear powerful message to President Kabila and his government, that further delays and an unrealistic electoral calendar will be unacceptable.

The violence, the human rights abuse, the suffering of the people in the Congo, exploitation of minerals and resources are unacceptable, and none of us should tolerate it and we will not accept it.

We will hold Kabila responsible and accountable to instituting, implementing the agreements.
