This isn't just a rural/urban issue, as you all know. These things are tied together.

In Iowa, access to broadband is even more than that; it is a manner of survival, literally survival.

Rural economic development is absolutely critical.

We need the infrastructure, we need the capacity, we need the access to spectrum.

We can't leave anybody behind, especially in rural areas.

Broadband is not a luxury for rural America; it is survival.

Communities cannot thrive if they are left behind as the rest of the country moves forward.

As our technology moves forward, we simply can't afford to race past these folks that still cannot get the most basic communication services.

The industry supports over 400,000 U.S. jobs that can't be outsourced and has contributed some $45 billion to the U.S. economy.

Harnessing the power of our renewable resources is an absolutely critical part of our energy portfolio here in America.
