The RFS has helped America achieve greater energy security. It's decreased our reliance on foreign oil.

I always like to say that better data means better maps and better resources and policies for the areas that are truly in need.

We have got to act now, it seems to me.

Well, Mr. Pruitt, we just want to know who got these waivers, not why necessarily, and I can't understand why that would be considered confidential business information.

I am extremely disappointed in the action as you might imagine and the lack of transparency and accountability in the process is also unacceptable.

Has anybody explained to the President the substantial impact that these waivers have on the ethanol industry? Some have estimated a billion gallons.

Because this entire waiver process has happened, really, without any transparency whatsoever, I am disappointed, my constituents are disappointed, and we really have no idea whether those gallons have been reassigned as required by law.

I think trust has been the issue today.

I do think it's absolutely critical that we make progress to ensure the cybersecurity and safety of our natural gas and LNG facilities.

I don't think that we can argue with the fact that it's absolutely critical that we do ensure the safety of our energy infrastructure.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why anybody could possibly propose dramatic, drastic slashes in a weatherization program as this administration did.

I have introduced legislation along with Adrian Smith, bipartisan legislation--that is what is great about the RFS, I think, is we have bipartisan support for the RFS--to lift the restrictions on the sale of E15 in the summer months.
