I come from the middle class.

There are people who work at McDonald’s in our country who are trying to raise a family and pay rent on that.

We have to prosecute transnational criminal organizations that are responsible for the flow of fentanyl into this country.

The business leaders who are actually part of the engine of America’s economy agree that people should pay their fair share.

It takes far too long and there’s too much bureaucracy associated with homebuilding.

You don’t just throw around the idea of tariffs across the board.

The American people want an economy where they can thrive, not just survive.

Probably the biggest gut decision I have made most recently is to choose my running mate.

Not everyone has the access to the opportunities that allow them to achieve those things.

I know the power of American innovation.

I will target the major barriers to opportunity and remove them.

It is almost impossible to start a business on $5,000.

The second pillar of an Opportunity Economy is investing in American innovation and entrepreneurship.

The American people face a choice between two fundamentally very different paths for our economy.

When we lower the cost and ease the burdens people face, our economy as a whole grows stronger.

He’s just not very serious about how he thinks about some of these issues.
