The very people who keep us safe ought to be honored and protected and praised by Democrats and Republicans alike.

The obsessive attack on law enforcement, particularly ICE, must stop.

The stakes were simply too high. This wasn’t a choice that should have been left to an individual’s ego, an individual’s ambition.

In retrospect, I think it was recklessness.

We saw the power of the people over the last few days, and it spoke volumes, and it moved a decision in the right direction.

With goodwill and common sense, I believe we can come up with ways to do this, without vilifying and demonizing children.
