I think our economic plan has done an excellent job of raising incomes, of getting people employment. When we got here, there are 20 million people on unemployment, that’s down to 1.7 million now.

What could be more responsive to that than saying, we’re going to limit what people have to pay for their childcare, we’re going to help people pay for eldercare for their seniors, we’re going to bring down the cost of prescription drugs dramatically.

I think Senator Manchin has made it clear publicly that he’s interested in putting together the key pieces of Build Back Better.

I do think, though, we have to be part of finding a humanitarian solution to avoid a humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.

If the disruptions continue, if it still feels like what on earth is going on, nothing works as normal and you can`t -- you can`t, you know, buy things at the store and things are expensive, and everything`s still off kilter. They`re screwed.

Senator McConnell was indeed quite helpful in getting this bill passed, because he saw what a number of his Republican colleagues saw, which is this bill wasn`t liberal or conservative, Democrat or Republican. It was common sense. It`s what the American people wanted.

The decision to bring these charges against Mr. Bannon was made exclusively by the Justice Department. The President had nothing to do with it. We have an independent Justice Department that makes decisions about prosecution and specific cases on their own.

President Biden did. He brought Democrats and Republicans together. He had over 100 meetings in the Oval Office over the past few months with Democrats and Republicans, to put this bill together and build the support to pass this bill.

I think the bill we signed is one step on combating inflation.

There's no vice president I've seen this gotten off to a faster start than Vice President Harris.

President gave no direction to the Justice Department, and taking its action.

We pass this bill not to change polls, but to change the country.

I'm not going to speak for him. What I know is he has played a key role in advising us and talking to the President many times about the framework for the Build Back Better Bill.

Tuesday was about voters saying they want more.

A lot of credit goes to those 13 Republicans who did sign up and did support the infrastructure bill. But, look, it's just not healthy. Infrastructure should not be a partisan issue. But there isn't really a Democratic or Republican bridge. There isn't really a Democratic or Republican road.
