October is recognized as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month; and as the women of the caucus come today in this hour to talk about its importance, we also know the importance of funding; funding for education, funding for early detection through research, funding for treatment and testing. All of those are critical elements in the fight against breast cancer now. We do recognize that breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women in the United States and its cause and its cure remains undiscovered.
