Do you know what always gets me about the pushback on something like this, when people are going to be able to make their own decisions and have the money go to them rather than an insurance company? For some reason, the other side always underestimates the real intellect and the real thoughtful decision making that go on in families every single day, no matter what your socioeconomic status is or how much money you make. They always underestimate the voter, and they underestimate the ability of a family to make a decision about their own healthcare when they do that. So I congratulate him for his thoughtfulness always and, really, common sense and, really, the simplicity of what he is really saying. A lot of people around this country are wondering when they are going to get back to work, when they are going to get paid, how they are going to feed their families--is their trip going to be canceled? All of this has been put onto the American people. And here we are again, day 39 of the Schumer shutdown.
