In a climate of tighter budgets and limited resources, it is essential that we find smarter ways to spend our dollars without sacrificing assistance to those in need.

I just think that those kinds of coordinations outside of the umbrella of senior care is something that we really ought to look at.

I want to thank the Senate committee, Chairman Bingaman and Ranking Member Murkowski and certainly Senator Manchin for holding this field hearing to examine the Marcellus shale development and production in West Virginia.

When you talk a lot about the hope that we could secure a cracker here in our State...

We are seeing the economic development that a few years ago would have been unimaginable.

It's a little discouraging, just because there's billions and billions of dollars in there.

And please take heart that there's a lot of cynicism around Members of Congress. What are we down to now? A 9 percent approval rating?

I want to assure those in the audience and those who have taken time out of their valuable business days, that we are listening and we are going to take this back.

It's an honor for me to be here on my very first visit to Wisconsin.
