Patrick Morrisey: “I want to lift West Virginia out of poverty, and I want West Virginia to be that shining state in the mountains.”

I urge everyone in the affected areas to remain alert, avoid flooded roadways, and follow instructions from local emergency officials.

“Every day, our coal miners take on difficult and dangerous work to provide for their families and communities. Their dedication and sacrifice deserve our deepest respect and gratitude.”

We are disappointed by the decision on Boone and Logan counties, but we are not going to stop working for those communities.

This investment will help put more nurses in our hospitals and communities so West Virginians can get the care they need, improve their health, and get back to work.
