The Stateside LWCF program does provide vital support for States and local communities for access to outdoor recreation. My home State of West Virginia, for example, has benefited greatly from these formula-driven matching grants, and I am pleased that the CLEAR Act will provide stable, permanent funding for the Stateside program. I agree with the gentleman that the funding levels for Stateside in recent years have been completely inadequate, and I look forward to working with you, our colleagues on the Appropriations Committee, the administration, and others who support this critical program to ensure it receives adequate and equitable funding going forward.
