I will not vote for that huge bill to regulate elections and campaign finance and combat voter suppression.

I think it`s the wrong piece of legislation to bring our country together and unite our country. And I`m not supporting that because I think it would divide us further.

The John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act would update the formula states and localities must use to ensure proposed voting laws do not restrict the rights of any particular group or population.
Senator Manchin came out in opposition to the Senate`s For the People Act, which would basically create a modern voting infrastructure.
The West Virginia poll also shows that Joe Manchin is against the tide of his own constituents, his own voters on that.
