I think if you look at the overall objective, it was supposed to be a draconian measure, which it really is.

I believe it strikes the appropriate balance of providing access to the seashore, but it also protects the habitat of sea turtles and the piping plover.

I agree with you that we need to have a balance here.

You know that we don't agree because we wouldn't be introducing the bill if we agreed with you.

You've closed the most premium places that people, I know from West Virginia, would go.

I've always said government should be your partner and your ally, trying to find the balance between the economy and the environment.

The final plan that the National Park Service implemented in 2012, in my estimation and the reason for this bill, doesn't strike that balance.
