The train rules as far as how we transport hazardous material in this country have not changed for quite some time. We are in jeopardy of losing an awful lot of lives, and we are having a tremendous amount of increase in that arena.

As you know, transporting crude oil now, and in just the last 4 years, from 2009 to 2013, shipment by rail has gone up 3,300 percent.

It is not like we are infringing on people who do not want to be involved in the hunting because those seasons can be avoided, if needed.

The bottom line is that this is bipartisan. It's been bipartisan, and it will also be bipartisan because of the economics.

Anyone would have to be in an extreme position of not wanting us to be able to use public lands as the public should be able to use them.

Our greatest priority is to make sure the mountain state people and everybody across the nation continue to enjoy hunting and fishing and recreational shooting and have the ability to appreciate all the outdoors has to offer.

There is no reason it should not have passed three years ago. There really isn't.

There is not a hunter or fisherman that I know of that's not an environmentalist.

Every state is going to be different, and I'm sorry because our time is so limited.

So what I would say to you is that--and I also want to thank you for the Mackinac Conference that you attended and that was some of my West Virginia first responders.

If we could look at cutting some of this government regulation in order to get this up and running much quicker.

If you want to use us as a trial and error, West Virginia would be delighted to work with you.

Well, would it alarm you all that they might not be able to meet the FirstNet needs as far as personnel, that's all they've been able to hire?
