Captain McBride's life exemplifies the values of steadfast dedication, unwavering integrity, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. His distinguished career spanned flying 64 combat missions during the Vietnam war. As a NASA astronaut, he piloted the historic STS-41-G mission aboard the Space Shuttle Challenger. McBride was inducted into the West Virginia Hall of Fame in 2014.
