As did he, I wish to start my remarks by taking a moment to say that my thoughts and prayers are with the community of Roseburg, OR, as we heard word of yet another senseless act of gun violence. I hope all who are listening join us in our thoughts and prayers. I rise today to join my good friend from Delaware and to lend my voice in calling attention to an important day in America.
