Tammy Baldwin: “I hope I make you proud, Wisconsin.”

It is imperative that the HMGP is added to this declaration so Wisconsin communities are able to recover and prevent similar impacts from future disaster events while saving local, state and federal taxpayer dollars.

The President’s unconstitutional executive order and the Postal Service’s misguided rule could very well tip the scales of the election and deprive Wisconsinites from having their voices heard accurately.

This latest push puts kids’ wellbeing and safety on the line and is all part of the President’s plan to shut down Head Start entirely, and it’s shameful.

In light of the documented damage and its impact on local and state capacity, I request that FEMA give full and fair consideration to Wisconsin’s appeal for Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) funding.
