Countless researchers who have devoted their careers to improving healthcare for all of us have watched years of painstaking work and hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer investments destroyed overnight.

This is an insult to the servicemembers wounded and those who perished – and all of their families who have sacrificed alongside them.

This is not leadership—this is sabotage of public health. And it must end, immediately.
