“I misspoke when I said 80 staff members. There are 60 staff members at this point, including 20 auditors and investigators in Iraq. The point the Senator from Michigan has already made is that the State Department itself indicates they would have to start from ground zero and staff up for this. We have excellent people already conducting a number of audits, and they are on the ground. It would not make sense to do it. I am delighted the distinguished Senator from Michigan is a cosponsor. I look forward to further debate.”
