This is actually hanging over her head. And so we have never had a president who we would ever think we'd do something like this.
I would argue the DRL's work has never been more important than it is right now, with democracy going head to head with the growing threats of kleptocracy and authoritarianism around the globe.
You may apply a legal standard to whether or not you should recuse yourself, but it's her decision. There's no appeal from it. She's not mandated to do it or not do it.
