Section 5 of the bill, which deals with Georgia v. Ashcroft and the Bossier II case, is extremely important. As ranking member of the Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Property Rights, I concur with the discussion of this provision by the Senator from Vermont.
