“On that point, this is actually a perfect segue into a map that I brought with me this evening talking about the potential of the renewable and alternative energy sources that already exist within our own country. In the upper left corner here we show the potential for biomass and biofuel resources throughout the country, albeit more predominant in the eastern part of this country and also the West Coast, but nevertheless, a tremendous potential. It is one of the farm industry criticisms of the Bush energy plan is how little attention or interest they have in developing the biomass and biofuel resources that we have in the country. It could be a win for the consumer; it could also be a win for the farm producers that exist throughout the country. Lord knows, they are looking for a win at this point. But also there could be solar energy potential, too. In some regions the potential is much greater than other regions, but virtually every region of this country can certainly develop solar power potential to a much greater extent than we have today. Geothermal resources, the Bureau of Land Management released this map showing the geothermal potential that exists in the country.”
