That is really what OMB should be driving.

I would suggest that. Certainly in the private sector, if I needed to make sure there was greater efficiency in a particular department, we did it with their budget.

Wouldn't that be a pretty effective control? I mean, we talk about all these controls in theory, but the most effective control is how much money do you have to spend?

Let us pare them back, let us force efficiency.

It is about information. It is about being able to have the tools and being able to make that evaluation.

Let me use a little accounting lingo here. You have a price variance and you have a---- A volume variance.

How many different air traffic control positions are there? I mean, how many different classifications of air traffic controllers are you training for, approximately?

Are they all the same, or are there different configurations of that?

So we are publishing these conferences that exceed half a million dollars on individual agency websites, correct?

Is that a piece of legislation that is required? I mean, I would think the OMB could basically force agencies to do so...

I mean, the fact that we do not have a common accounting system, that we do not have a common way of accounting for these things is ridiculous.

There are always more cases than there are resources in the Department of Justice, so it is second nature to have to prioritize things.

I do, and this is something that I have had conversations with a number of Inspectors General about, because that is the fundamental challenge of a position like this.
