what got me interested in this entire issue probably about 4 years ago, was a constituent named Lauri Badura. Her son died of an overdose.

The Constitution says that the President and other civil officials can be impeached for treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.

I think it is very obvious that there was no treason or bribery alleged here.

I challenge you, because every one of you that will vote no on this amendment is going to be saying, I think that Joe Biden is a liar.

But obstruction of Congress, when there is no referee, there is no adjudication, there is nothing but a majority that says, 'You give us what we want until we find a crime, or we are going to throw you out of office,' that is so…

if you, on the other side of the aisle, believe that Joe Biden is a man who tells the truth, you ought to support this amendment

I think that this markup has been a lot better than it could have been, and I think the chairman has been probably very evenhanded on that.
