Given this interpretation, I urge the committee to work with the Army to ensure that funds provided in this title and elsewhere in this bill should be used for upgrading equipment to current production type, model, and series, where determined by the Army Acquisition Executive to be required and cost effective, to include equipment used for predeployment training but not otherwise deployed.
