There being no objection, the text of the bill was ordered to be printed in the Record, as follows: S. 1819 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Strengthening Services for America's Seniors Act''. SEC. 2. STANDARDIZED ASSESSMENT OF NEEDS OF FAMILY CAREGIVERS. (a) In General.--Section 373 (42 U.S.C. 3030s-1) is amended-- (1) by redesignating subsections (b) through (g) as subsections (c) through (h), respectively; (2) in subsection (d), as so redesignated, by striking ``subsection (b)'' and inserting ``subsection (c)''; (3) in subsection (e), as so redesignated, by striking ``subsection (b)'' and inserting ``subsection (c)''; and (4) by inserting after subsection (a) the following: ``(b) Assessment Program of Needs of Family Caregivers.-- ``(1) In general.--The Assistant Secretary may make grants to States to establish a program, in accordance with the program requirements described in paragraph (5), to assess the needs of family caregivers for targeted support services described in paragraph (5)(C). ``(2) Application by states.--Each State seeking a grant under this subsection shall submit an application to the Assistant Secretary at such time, in such manner, and containing such information and assurances as the Assistant Secretary determines appropriate.…
