“While funding has not been provided specifically for the Sokaogon Chippewa in the Senate version of this year's bill, it is my understanding that there are many other opportunities for securing Federal funding for this project. First and foremost, I would like to request the chairman's strong consideration for this project during conference with the House. In the past 2 fiscal years, the conference committee has included funding for this project, and the same arguments for its inclusion continue this year as well.”
