Across this nation, 40 percent of moms depend on Medicaid when they give birth. Instead of gutting Medicaid, we need to strengthen it so we can save lives.

I am very alarmed at this increasingly lawless action of the Trump administration.

These programs are not without need of reform. However, reauthorization is crucial to the economic growth and stability and to protect our economic security and interests in our hemisphere. Mr. Speaker, I urge support of this legislation.
